I was rather said to leave that beautiful place after breakfast, but we needed to move on.
We were so fortunate. It was a steep walk uphill yesterday, but at least the rain held off until this morning. Mountain paths are not that nice in the rain. Still…. roads are not at their best either. Off to temple number 5, Fujidera.
We did not stay that long… it was so wet!
We stayed at a little hostel, ‘bed&bicycle’, dropped off the bags and made a beeline for the onsen. .. but not before the owner of the hostel took us to a little cloth maker workshop. The craftsmanship was very friendly and explained the family trade
This retro hairtrockner was still working, even so it had museums quality! Leaving the sento I heard drums. We got a little treat in the rain, danjiri matsuri.
