As planned we were off early to find shoes…. it was raining, too.

I found a new pair, Seb you were so right! I got a pair of Salomon, again. They did not have boots. I will have to wait until we are in Osaka.

Now a quick lunch and then of to the next temple. We had a tight schedule for today.

The young girl was a university student, spoke nearly perfect English and was very bubbly, advising us what to do in Nara.
We raced to our hotel in the middle of nowhere , dropped off our bags and virtually run up the mountain to reach the temple. We were advised that it would close at 4pm.

We arrived at the temple exhausted, just to be told by the priest that they are open until 17:00….

Unexpectedly, one could enter the hall, see all the statues and photograph as much as one wanted. I took the opportunity to take plenty…. beware.

They also have an insta famous cat.

Here the autumn colouring of the leaves is starting.

Back at the bottom of the mountain was a path leading to a shrine and waterfall. All very picturesque.

Back at the hotel we the beauty of the place.

Good night.
