25.October

Today we walked to Kokawadera.

Umeboshi on the way
Fresh food

All meticulously clean. That lady is pulling little weeds from the gravel!

Kokawadera is a very large temple complex. All buildings and gardens are in perfect condition and there are little shops, restaurants and they actually open! A bit different then expected.

Walking a bit further towards the back of the Hondo, I was surprised to see and abandoned temple building. It was a bit eerie.

We walked back from the temple, back to Rico’s and had dinner. Okonomiyaki. It was delicious!

There was still time…we decided to have a dip in a very famous onsen. Natural hot spring water, brown and bubbly. The water had such a high mineral content that it felt like bathing in a stalactite cave!

They need pneumatic drills to remove the build up.

Back at Rico’s I decided to change schedule for tomorrow.  My 10 year old boots are suddenly too small. It truly left me heartbroken. I will have to go to Aeon Mall in nowhere to try my luck finding new shoes.

Good night.
